Preventing Acne
Acne is a skin condition commonly associated with ‘teen age spots’ bur it can be more serious than just having a pimply face. Acne produces red eruptions on the face, neck and shoulders often leaving pitted scars if incorrectly treated. The condition affects millions of people around the world/
By following a few simple measures to ensure optimum skin hygiene many of the causes of acne can be prevented. Try the following methods for skin care.
Preventing Acne.
- One of the simplest routines for preventing acne is to keep your face clean. Wash it thoroughly at least two times each day. Remember also that your hands are frequently in touch with other items and rapidly become contaminated with bacteria. Avoid touching your face frequently, this will only transfer bacterium to the face and is a common cause of acne.
- Surprising as it may seem but good exercise is another method of preventing acne. Regular exercise increases the blood flow throughout the body system and encourages the supply of oxygen to the facial skin cells.
- Make sure that you have a thorough soaking under the shower after your exercise session. The perspiration of the body contains many oils which if not washed away correctly can lead to the pores of facial skin becoming clogged, which encourages acne causing bacteria to grow.
- Think about your sleeping habits. This is particularly the case for females. Do not go to sleep without removing your facial make up and cleaning your face by using a face cleanser followed by a thorough washing. Avoid letting your hair straggle over your face, when asleep your hair contains oils which can be transferred to your face, and an oily face skin is the last thing you need for the prevention of acne
